There are a bunch of different companies that allow users to share there bandwidth to make a little extra money.
Some companies like Mysterium allow users to connect through your servers to to use streaming and browsing in a decentralized fashion.
Other companies use your bandwidth to ensure websites load speedy from all over and check that companies intellectual property is not being misused.
Mysterium Decentralized VPN
A peer-to-peer bandwidth marketplace, powering a Network-as-a-service solution. Sell your unused bandwidth and earn passive income in MYST crypto tokens. You can use these tokens to power your own VPN client or sell them for passive income.
This one is good if you have a bunch of VPS’s. You can share some of the bandwidth and help pay for your servers. I’m getting up to 2 MYST per VPS per month.
The PiggyBox
The PiggyBox is a low powered box that you share on your home Internet connection. You can make a consistent $10/month as long as you keep the box running 24/7. Right now you can get one for free.

EarnApp
EarnApp is also from Bright Data like the PiggyBox. You have to choose one or the other, they cannot be ran on the same network. I would choose the PiggyBox over the EarnApp. One idea is to run the PiggyBox at home and the EarnApp on your mobile device if you have unlimited data.
Peer2Profit
Peer2Profit works with advertisers, marketing agencies, and analytics companies that use some of your bandwidth for verification and research.
Peer2Profit is the only other one I have found so far that will let you use it on a VPS. But I found that you earn a lot more on home and mobile Internet connections. I’m making about $5 a month for the residential connections and far less on the VPS’s. It varies a lot on the VPS’s but they probably only make about $0.10 each per month.
Honeygain
Honeygain is a little unique in that if you run on a home Internet desktop you can participate in content distribution and earn more.
Honeygain you can get $5 just for signing up. I’m making about $8 per month with this one with two Internet connections. I’m using a mobile and Starlink connection.
PacketStream
PacketStream allows businesses to unlock geoloaction-restricted content and get access to data-collection tooling.
Over the course of a month I made about $1.50 with PacketStream using a mobile and Starlink connection.
Trafficmonitizer
Trafficmonitizer collects data for companies across different regions to make sure their ads are displaying properly.
I made the least on Trafficmonitizer. Just less than a dollar for the month.
These are the bandwidth sharing applications that I have tried out. If you know of other good ones let me know. They don’t earn a ton but they are helping me pay for my Internet connections. Your results could of course vary being in different locations.
