Once you create an account you will need to setup your security settings to be able to deposit and withdraw from BitForex.
- Verify Your Email Address
- Setup Google Authenticator
- Set a trading password
Now you should be ready to trade
Spot Trading
This example is how to trade Ecomi OMI Tokens.
Click on the “Spot” at the top of the screen.
In the search box in the upper left, search for “OMI”. You should see OMI/USDT trading pair. If you deposited something else you will need to convert it from that coin to USDT Tether.
You should see Buy OMI and Sell OMI boxes in the lower screen now.
To buy some OMI enter the price in USDT you’re willing to pay. For example 0.002 and then enter the amount of OMI and it will show you the Total price in USDT. The just click the “Buy OMI” button. Once the order executes you should see OMI in the Assets section. Click on “Assets” in top right area. You can see the order status by click in the “Orders” button right next to the Assets button. If the order doesn’t move you may have to cancel it and up your price a bit.
Withdraw Your Tokens
To withdraw your tokens from the exchange click on “Assets” at the top of the screen. Then find your OMI Token and click “Withdraw” to the right of it.
Now click on “Add frequently used address” and enter your GO Chain OMI address. If I’m working with a new token I like to do a smaller test withdraw for the first transaction because if you send to the wrong address you are basically just burning that money. There’s no FDIC insurance and the exchange will not and cannot help you retrieve it. It’s gone! If you don’t feel comfortable with this you should leave your tokens on the Exchange. But remember if you don’t have the keys they are not your tokens. If the exchange gets hacks and your tokens stolen again there is nothing you can do.
Now you can select the address you just created from the drop down and then enter the amount of OMI that you want to withdraw. Right now the transaction fee is 2,000 OMI which is about $4 USD a the time of this writing. The click “Submit” and it should be delivered within 24 hours.
